Great Lakes Institute for Environmental Research
I joined the Fisk lab in May of 2017 as a research assistant and started my M.Sc. degree in September of the same year. My research involves investigating the fine-scale movement patterns, habitat use, and predation risk of juvenile yellow perch (Perca flavescens) in the Detroit River. I am accomplishing this through the utilization of acoustic telemetry and novel predation transmitters. My research will provide insight into the ecology of an economically valuable fish species as well as contribute to the understanding of the complex interactions that occur in this biodiverse riverine system.
