Research
I am interested in past, present, and future effects of climate change on alpine and arctic lakes. My doctoral research focuses on lakes near Resolute Bay, NU, where I am studying the movement of mercury through the food web in the context of a changing climate. Warming and increased precipitation has lead to a myriad of changes across arctic landscapes, and I seek to understand these changes as they are archived in lake sediments, as the occur in real time, and what they may mean for the future.
